  As for ads, i’m not going to start surfing this site with Google Chrome (where i have adblock that works so well) unless the ads get hyper-obnoxious.

  Good to know that you’re 3/4ths the way to self-sufficiency here, though.

  @ Musical: Right now the Alliance is still working off the remnants of our old lists, so for the most part our votes are predetermined. The League section has a “Wildcard” every 4th vote, which is generally a random vote. Got some plans for other ways to use it as well, though. The other votes on the list are either member requests, or stuff independents have been trying to push for a while. The Merc section is just member requests I think, but Mark or Takeshi could probably give you a better answer. As far as I know, the Brotherhood form a consensus on what to vote on, originally in the Extra Vote/Sexkey member’s comments and currently in their forum section. Again, Gunsniper, 8R0TH3R, or any other Brotherhood peeps can probably give you a better answer.

  And as for the ads… I was allowing them through for a while, but then I got hit by that Reveton bit of Jackassery. Been a wee bit more paranoid about ads in general ever since. Although, if Niddy were to put up a donate option I’d be willing to support the site that way. Not for a reward or anything, the shit-ton of hentai he gives us is quite sufficient, I feel XD

  Rasael pretty muched summed it up. We have our own wants, mostly looking for what’s lacking in the site. We combine our own wants with public side wants as long as it meets certain criteria. After that we form a rough draft list and come to an agreement on which of the next candidates from the list we will push. That’s us in a nutshell, if you want to see more like 8R0TH3R said feel free to drop by the forum and sit in on us.

  As for those saying the Brotherhood is cheating, I have my doubts. Not only do they have multiple “members” who can vote allowing them double votes, but given their power people tend to just hop on the band wagon hopping that they will help them out. The league had its power essentially the same way. One of the things I liked about the League was that we helped out the other groups if we won to much, which helps to keep people in better spirits (I think). Personally if the Brotherhood started doing something similar if they started winning a lot I think I may start to like them a little more, but that’s just me (although given I havn’t been as active lately they may have and I just never noticed).

  Also on a separate note, I approve the Gender Bender Doujins vote. Personally I prefer hentai of it, but Gender Bender is a personal favorite.

  But yeah, that’s one of my favorite things about the League too. The fact that we do stuff like that is why I declined to join the Brotherhood during it’s formation when they asked. The Brotherhood does help independents as well though, though I think they tend to go for independent votes that already have a larger following? Most of their early wins came from that, anyway. They’ve yet to follow our example in taking days off after winning streaks though, except for once. When they made sure to let us know that they were giving us a chance to win.

  Ah well, everything is much more cordial at the moment, now that the Kira/Fayt style pissing match has ended and we’re back civil comments and the occasional joke.

  Nope, it’s just something that we do that I like. It’d be stupid to expect another group to act in the exact same way. If all groups operated the same way, there’d be little point in having separate groups at all lol. Heh, taking a break every time you’re winning doesn’t even make any sense from a strategic point of view. But then again, I am a crazy person… and I think I’ve had enough of the general; it’s time to go back to the jester. Or something.
