Well today I have a couple things to address, the first is about dividing the content up between the sites. For now, I think we’ll leave it the same, there are merits to the various options that I’ve heard so far and while it could go either way, I suspect the space issues of the content won’t matter much as we’ll probably end up needing a second server at some point anyway (automatically means more space.) But I’ll get to that in a bit. Mostly the big decider at the moment is the insane amount of work it entails moving all the content around. That’s a lot of time that could be better spent redesigning the site, collecting traffic, and uploading more content. So for now, things will just stay the same, and thanks to everybody who commented. I’ve made note of what was said, and what you guys have told me will definitely influence future decisions on the matter.
Also after messing with it for the last few days, and ongoing discussions with my web host, the sites should now be running at much better speeds. This is of course most important because it makes updating a real pain when the server is slow. After all if you think things can get slow for you guys… it’s exponentially worse behind the scenes, sometimes taking a few minutes just to add one image to a news post. Sorry for the lack of updates while I was fixing that.
Finally before we get to the update, I figured I’d mention a couple things about the vote… The first is that I only bother to verify the votes of whoever has the most (for time constraint reasons). So for those people who think they’re sneaking by additional votes, you are… unless what you voted for is winning. Then you get stuff like Matantei Loki Ragnarok, which originally had 7 votes… until I went to check. So don’t vote for something just because you think it’s winning, there is always the chance the votes aren’t real.
